TONGUE /LIP TIE
Some babies have tongue tie, this is where the small piece of skin underneath the tongue is short.
This means the tongue is not as free to move around in the mouth.
Tongue movement is vital for swallowing and effective feeding for babies.
Commonly babies present with difficulty feeding, latching on, weak gripping around the bottle or breast, swallowing problems and recurrent breast infections in mothers.
Through detailed investigation we asses tongue function.
Develop osteopathic treatment plans to strengthen and stretch the tongue.
